CDFI's role in rural transformation in Maharashtra

The training for second batch of fellows from Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF) started at Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA) in Pune on July 22, 2017.

The seven day training, will be a platform for initiating fellows into using a mobile app for capturing information and related details from the villages for supporting Government of Maharashtra's rural transformation plan. The mobile app is being developed by Centre for Digital Financial Inclusion.

VSTF is an initiative of the Maharashtra Government that aims to develop 1,000 socially backward villages in the State. After the completion of the training, the fellows will be working in the villages along with the gram panchayats to initiate the process of rural transformation.
