A consultative workshop on DBT Portal & Social Security Platform (SSP) was jointly organised by the DBT Mission, Cabinet Secretariat and CDFI. This was a follow up to the earlier workshop on ‘Social Security Platform - The Way Forward’ that was jointly organised by the DBT Mission, Cabinet secretariat and CDFI in February, 2016 with various stakeholders. Since then, DBT Mission, Cabinet Secretariat, along with CDFI has been involved in creating a Unified Household Database (UHD) as a part of the Social Security Platform using the already available National Population Register (NPR) and the Socio Economic & Caste Census (SECC) data. In order to give further impetus to these initiatives, private technical and management consultants have been engaged by DeitY to work with NIC and the DBT Mission to concretise the SSP.
Therefore, it was felt necessary to organize a consultative workshop to provide a forum to all who are working on SSP to deliberate on the key issues impacting the design of the DBT Portal and the SSP and develop a conceptual understanding and chalk a concrete roadmap
